Daily Garment Production Report Generator

Turn operator count, SAM, target efficiency and actual output into a daily sewing-line performance summary for owner review.

Calculate online

Enter your production values to calculate an operational estimate.

  • Operators, shift hours and garment SAM
  • Target efficiency and actual output
  • Rejected pieces

Calculation method

Generate a daily garment production report with target, output, efficiency, rejection, good pieces and downloadable CSV.

Method: actual efficiency % = actual output × SAM ÷ available operator minutes × 100

Worked example: daily sewing report

A line has 40 operators, an eight-hour shift, 20-minute SAM, 60% target efficiency, 550 pieces output and 10 rejected pieces.

  1. Target output is 40 × 480 × 60% ÷ 20 = 576 pieces.
  2. Actual efficiency is 550 × 20 ÷ 19,200 × 100, or about 57.29%.
  3. Good output is 540 pieces and rejection is about 1.82% of actual output.

Frequently asked questions

What should owners review in a daily production report?

Review target versus output, efficiency, good output, rejection, absenteeism, bottlenecks, downtime and shipment risk by line and style.

Why can output be high but efficiency low?

Output alone ignores garment work content. Efficiency compares earned SAM minutes with the operator minutes actually available.

Should repaired pieces count as rejected output?

Follow one consistent factory rule. Usually final rejection excludes pieces successfully repaired, while rework is tracked separately for loss analysis.
